The meters are calibrated in kilo-liters & accurately register flows within a limit of ??2% over Their wide measuring rang (1 kilo liter= 1 cubic meter= 1000 liters)
The meters confirm to ISS 1536 / 1538
Meters are suitable for use with water temp. upto 45??c. (Hot water meter - water temp. upto 85??c)
The meters are tested to withstand a pressure of 16 kg/cm2
Precautions:
The meter should be so installed that water always flow in a horizontal straight line. It is recommended that there should be a straight pipe length before and after the meter equivalent to ten times its nominal size
External strainer must be installed on inlet side of the water meter
The water meter should be handled with great care so as to avoid any jerk or fall which can damage it & can affect its performance
The meter should not be buried underground
Non-Return (Check) Valve on outlet side of the water meter is preferable
